Fish Taco Eating Contest: August 22, 2026, Start Time *9PM Entry fee $10.00 to compete. – The contest is open to only the first 10 people who register! -All contestants must be registered and checked in at least 1 hour prior to the contest starting. (8:00pm) -Contestants must be 18 or over. -The object is to eat 10 tacos first. Record time will be kkept eat year. -Water is the only beverage allowed. (Water will be provided) -Contestants will wait for the whistle to start –Contest will be timed. -Any complete Taco in contestants' mouth at the final whistle is counted provided it is then swallowed. -Contestants must not touch any Taco until the whistle begins the contest. -Any contestant caught breaking any of the rules will be disqualified. -WINNER gets one Visa $200 gift card and other prizes. Contestant acknowledges that there are risks of personal injury, illness and possible loss of life, and risks of damage to or loss of personal property, which may result from participating in this contest. Contestant voluntarily enters the Fritch Fish Taco Eating Contest and assumes all of these risks. Contestant, as a condition of entry, agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of Fritch, the Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum and any affiliated companies, their sponsors, vendors, co-sponsoring companies and their affiliates and agencies, and all officers, directors, employees and agents of the aforesaid entities, from any and all claims and costs, including attorneys ’fees, relating to, arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In so doing, contestant releases and indemnifies the aforesaid entities and individuals from liability for injuries or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In no event shall the City of Fritch, the Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum be liable to a contestant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the Contest or that contestant’s participation in the contest. FINAL AUTHORITY - The City of Fritch, the Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum has sole and complete discretion regarding all contest related matters. All decisions regarding qualifications, selection or disqualification of a contestant or winner shall be subject to the sole and complete discretion of the City of Fritch, and the Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum. You can be disqualified for any reason at any time. I AGREE TO NOT CONTEST THE OUTCOME AND ANY PART OR ASPECT OF THIS CONTEST. CERTIFICATION AND SIGNATURE - I certify that the information provided is correct and that I have carefully read, understand and accept the terms of the Fritch Fish Taco Eating Contest Rules and Waiver of Liability Form. My signature indicates my understanding and assumption of the risks and my voluntary participation in this contest. In case of an emergency, I do hereby authorize a representative of the City of Fritch to consent to any medical treatment or care deemed advisable.
