  • Thanks for Volunteering for SemDems! There are many different ways you can volunteer. 

    Please fill in this survey so we may join your talents and interest with SemDems' goals.

    Review the brief descrptions of the volunteer opportunities, and then check the appropriate boxes.

  • Here is a brief description of volunteer opportunities:

    Voter Registration – Collect voter registration forms at public places such as the libraries, tax collector’s office and community events. Training will be provided.

    Canvassing –Visit local voters to Get Out the Vote. Personal interaction with voters is a key to Voter participation. Knock on doors to get out the vote.

    Phone Bank – Call a specific list of voters for renewal of Vote by Mail, reminding them to vote, or endorsing a candidate. Phone banking can be done at home or at our SemDems office. Training will be provided.

    Communications - Assist with Social Media posting, letter writing, graphic design, audio/visual, blog post writing or advertising.  Connect with local media outlets. (Do not have to do all)

    Events – Volunteer at the SemDems Booth at community events and outreach. Participate in Community Support Projects. We are also looking for event coordinators.

    Office – SemDems office is open for a few hours a week. Work includes: answering the phone, data entry, phone bank and special projects.

    Community Meetings- Attend local commission/board meetings and report items of interest to SemDems Voters. Update the community reference document. We need a SemDems presence!

    Precinct Captain Assistant - Team up with your precinct captain to Get Out the Vote.

    Postcards and Letters to Voters, Potential voters and shut-ins.

    Fundraising - Our fundraising team needs help with everything from maintaining our monthly donor database to donor outreach, follow-up, identifying and orchestrating new fundraising opportunities and events.

  • Bright Futures is program for high school students to earn volunteer hours. SemDems does participate in the Bright Futures program.
