TCJ Tax Services & Business Solutions
Thank you for choosing TCJ Tax Services & Business Solutions to assist with the preparation of your tax returns for the applicable tax year(s). This Letter of Engagement outlines the terms, conditions, and responsibilities of both parties for the provision of tax preparation services.
Scope of Services
We will prepare your Federal and State individual income tax returns based on the information you provide.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful documentation.
We will not audit or verify the data you submit, though we may request clarification.
We are not responsible for any penalties, interest, or fees resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
Legal & Financial Disclosures
Our services do not include audit protection or financial advisory services unless separately contracted.
You are responsible for maintaining supporting documentation to substantiate income, deductions, and credits.
Filing false or misleading information may subject you to criminal penalties, including fines and/or imprisonment.
You waive TCJ Tax Services & Business Solutions of any liability for errors resulting from incorrect or omitted information you provide.
Fee Agreement & Payment Terms
Tax preparation fees are due at the time of service, regardless of refund status or outcome.
If you owe a federal debt (e.g., child support, student loans, IRS back taxes), you remain responsible for our invoice.
Suppose you choose not to file your return after preparation is completed. In that case, you will be charged a non-filing estimation fee of $35 (Standard Estimate Individual Return) or $65 (Standard Estimate Business Return). If the invoice is not paid, legal action and credit reporting may be pursued to collect unpaid fees.
No refunds or fee disputes will be honored due to IRS refund delays.
Filing & Authorization
By signing this engagement, you authorize us to e-file your return using the forms: 1040, 8879, 7216, and all applicable schedules.
If you opt not to e-file, you accept full responsibility for mailing and submitting your return.
If you do not sign within 24 hours of being notified that your return is ready, we will mark your file as abandoned and assess a $35 or $65 processing fee, which will be charged to your account on file.
Confidentiality & Communication Consent
You authorize TCJ Tax Services & Business Solutions to contact you via email and text regarding your return and future service offerings.
All personal and financial information will remain confidential under IRS and federal data privacy laws.

All information I’ve provided is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge.
I understand my responsibilities, including maintaining documentation for tax records.
I consent to electronic filing and authorize TCJ Tax Services & Business Solutions to use my signature for all applicable forms related to my tax return.
