Thank you for your interest in joining the Cast and Crew of Carnival Noir! Each year, our dedicated team of performers, characters, crew members, and volunteers bring this immersive masquerade to life for hundreds of masked revelers from both Canada and the US.
Roles
Our cast and crew team is comprised of many different roles that allow us to transform our host venue into a wonderous display of each year's theme. Here are some of the roles we are seeking to fill:
- Characters (Cast, night of)
- Bartenders (Cast, night of)
- Decorators (Crew)
- Set Builders (Crew)
- Costume Makers (Crew, pre-event & night of)
- Stage Hands (Crew, night of)
- Makeup Artists (Crew, night of)
- Guards and Attendants (Crew, night of)
Requirements
Carnival Noir is a 19+ event; any cast or crew members working during the event must be 19+.
- You must have reliable transportation to and from the venue
- Cast must attend 1 pre-event meeting and 1 dress rehersal to be prepared for the event.
- Crew working the night of must attend 1 dress rehersal
Compensation
Carnival Noir is brought to life through the dedication of our talented cast and crew community. The majority of cast/character positions are paid with compensation determined by experience level and the complexity of the role. Our crew roles are a mix of volunteers and paid positions based on experience level and speciality area.
Volunteers who contribute 8 or more hours of work (whether in one full day, spread across multiple days, or working the night of) will receive one complimentary ticket (attendee must be 19+).
We are also accepting applications for the management roles of Set Design Manager, and Costume Manager. These roles are part of the Leadership Team of Carnival Noir and are being interviewed for separately. Qualified and interested candidates may submit their resumes & CVs to admin@carnivalnoir.ca
