Sr. Roadway Project Manager:

Agha Engineering is hiring a Sr. Roadway Project Manager with 15-20 years experience in its Houston, Texas office. On a daily basis, this person will be performing the following:
- Designs, communicates, and implements the operational plan for completing a project, holding self and team accountable for project deliverables
- Prepare proposals (including scope of work, fee and schedule), client agreements and sub-consultant agreements.
- Manages contracts and finances of project including contract, budget and cost-estimate reviews, client invoicing and initiates collection if required
- Manages activities, allocates resources, and assigns tasks to ensure task and project targets are met.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, studies, construction documents, analyses, plan sets, drawings, maps, reports, and Quiddity quality processes required for project delivery.
- Creates review schedules for engineering and if required, construction, to capture changes and makes changes within defined parameters, or makes recommendations.
- Working with the construction inspection group, creates construction site inspection schedule, reviews reports and conducts construction site visits. Collaboratively addresses design issues arising during construction phase.
- Communicates with regulatory agencies and may be their assigned point of contact
- Communicates regularly with clients, relaying concerns and issues candidly and tactfully.
- Assists with business development by cultivating and maintaining excellent client relationships, implementing marketing initiatives, helping with proposals, SOQs, presentations and client meetings
- Lead and develop roadway staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or related engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
- TxDOT experience and will be required to provide a list of pre-certifications.
- Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience with progressively more complex experience managing transportation/roadway projects including federally funded projects.
- Proficient in the use or management of OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and Geopak.
- Valid TX driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Proven project management experience and handling multiple deadlines and budgets.
- Effective communication skills to engage with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and employees fostering strong relationships.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
