Agha Engineering is hiring a Water Resources Project Engineer with 5-15 years of experience in its Houston, Texas office. On a daily basis, this position will be performing hydrologic and hydraulic studies for flood control projects, storm water drainage systems, master drainage plans, and highway drainage systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate strong technical skills, including the ability to analyze reports, maps, drawings and other technical data to plan and design projects.

Team spirit and willingness to assist junior staff in a team environment to deliver accurate project deliverables within designated scope, schedule and budget parameters.

Ability to meet with clients and maintain excellent client relations and meet client expectations, including an ability to concisely explain project status and address/remedy client concerns.

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Prepare project scopes of work, cost proposals, schedules and contracts.

Prepare, modify or direct preparation and modification of reports, and plans, for projects.

Perform other duties as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a focus on Water Resources from an accredited four-year college or university

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.

5-15 years of experience within Water Resources (i.e. H&H, drainage systems, flood control, etc.)

Must have excellent working knowledge of standard software for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including USACE HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-DSS) and ESRI ArcGIS.

Demonstrated proficiency in drainage PS&E development.

Experience working with TxDOT, Harris County Flood Control District, and/or City of Houston is preferred

Master’s degree is preferred

Proficiency with 1D-2D modelling software is preferred

Valid TX driver's license and insurable driving record.
