Agha Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated graduate Hydrology & Hydraulics EIT to join our team in our growing Houston, Texas office.
            As a Hydrology & Hydraulics EIT, this position will primarily be responsible for assisting with projects within our Water Resources group. On a daily basis, this position will perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies for flood control projects, storm water drainage systems, master drainage plans, and highway drainage systems. A successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with an emphasis in Water Resources. 
            
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
            
              - 
                Perform a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. 
- 
                Use prescribed methods, apply techniques to specific civil engineering projects  
- 
                Read/interpret surveys and research design options.  
- 
                Responsible for writing and creating technical project reports.  
- 
                Work in projects that include hydrology and hydraulic modeling. 
- 
                Support mid and senior level engineers to complete planning, research preliminary design, and may be required to perform detailed design H&H modeling tasks. 
- 
                Assist with the preparation of documentation including plans, maps, drawings, reports, data spreadsheets, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications. 
- 
                Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
- 
                Perform other duties as needed.  
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
            
              - 
                Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, with emphasis in Water Resources from an accredited four-year college or university. 
- 
                Must have passed the FE exam and obtained Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. 
- 
                2 + years of experience in Water Resources. 
- 
                Basic working knowledge of standard software for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including USACE HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-DSS), SWMM, and ESRI ArcGIS. 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:  
            
              - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
