Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act

Colorado Preservation, Inc (CPI) proudly hosts the 29th annual Saving Places Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado starting Monday, February 9th, 2025 through Thursday, February 12th. The upcoming conference will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act which established a national program to protect historic and archaeological sites in the US. It will serve as a pivotal gathering for historians, planners, architects, preservationists, and advocates. This milestone conference will provide attendess with an opportunity to discuss the challenges historic preservation continues to face and will foster dialogue to inspire actionand strengthen the commitment to preserving America’s rich cultural heritage for future generations.
CPI strives to develop themes, titles, and messaging that encourages discussion around contemporary theories and practical applications, without excluding ideas that may not be directly related to the theme. As a result, please feel free to submit more foundational preservation sessions beyond the specifics of the theme. CPI looks forward to hosting a conference that fosters meaningful conversations and connections within the industry.
For the 2026conference CPI has space for 35 sessions, 6-8 tours, 1-2 workshops and 5 featured speakers
