To help strengthen and foster a love of curiosity and learning in the field of science within public schools, the Q. Walter Peabody Foundation has established the Dr. Ken White Science Grant.
Funding is available for teachers in the Meriden public school system to provide, enrich, or augment their science curriculum, up to $1,000.
Funds can be used for supplies, special presentations/guests, field trips, or other opportunities designed to enhance students' interest in science within the classroom or in an extracurricular capacity. Funds may be used for a class or for small groups (clubs, etc.). Funds may be used in conjunction with other funding received (such as funds raised by PTOs or student groups) to supplement the experience.
Special consideration will be given to applications that are chemistry-based.
Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing, rolling basis.
If you have questions or trouble submitting your application, please contact the Q. Walter Peabody Foundation at qwalterpeabody@gmail.com.
