Founded in 1994, the The Beta Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is a dynamic group of men committed to the principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Through faith, brotherhood, strategy, and action, we pursue unity, progress, and community well-being in the city of High Point, NC and beyond.
Purpose: To identify high school seniors and continuing college students who possess a strong desire for academic excellence, leadership positions in student organizations, and plan on attending a 2 year or 4 year college or university.
Awards: 1st place $2,500, 2nd place $1,500, and 3rd place $1,000.
Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for these awards:
-An African American male or female in the High Point Guilford County School system. (We consider students enrolled at High Point Andrews, High Point Central, Ragsdale, Southern Guilford, Southwest Guilford, Penn Griffin School of the Arts, Middle College GTCC Jamestown & High Point).
-Minimum 2.5 GPA.
-College major in any field.
-Completed application to include transcript submittal, high school graduation and proof of college or university enrollment.
*Application must be submitted by April 11, 2025 at 11:59pm.
*GPA, extracurricular activities, career statement, and financial need statement are not required, but may assist in the selection process.
