Please complete one registration PER cowgirl. You must have attended a Ranch Tour & Intake appointment and completed paperwork BEFORE completing this registration.
This is an intermediate level group which means that basic horsemanship skills are required to attend (haltering/safe leading, saddling, bridling, etc.).
Cowgirl Tough is a 6-week course for young women age 12+ who are going through some tough situations or are simply needing a place to build friendships.
In this course, they will learn how to apply biblical principles to situations that they find themselves having to navigate through. We spend approximately 45 minutes learning animal husbandry skills. Then we go to supper break and have our Bible study time and small group discussion on topics ranging from how to manage our moods to keeping healthy boundaries when it comes to peer pressure. After supper, we head out to the indoor riding arena and enjoy some 4-legged fellowship. Horseback riding has been proven time and time again to help with affects of depression, loneliness, anxiety, and many other disorders that affect our young people today.
At HIS Haven Ranch, we partner horses that needed a place to live with youth who are needing support for various reasons outside of their control.
We encourage your Cowgirl to raise her own funds for camp. Ideas to help encourage them to earn funding for horse camp are by doing jobs for others (yard work, garage cleaning, babysitting etc., organizing a Pizza Ranch Tip Night to benefit the Ranch, a Facebook Fundraiser, GiveSendGo.com fundraiser, candy bar sales, bagging groceries for tips, etc. If you have a financial need, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for grant information. As always, we will do our best to accommodate your family's needs.
Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns!
