  • Adams County Pet Rescue believes that volunteers are motivated to do what is best and are accountable for their actions. However, we must establish certain policies and procedures so that we can all work together in an efficient and effective manner.

    1. All volunteers are at-will, meaning that their volunteer status can be terminated at any time, for any non-discriminatoryreason, without cause by ACPR.

    2. There is to be no pictures or videos taken of animals and/or staff without prior authorization.

    3. Volunteers who commit minor violations will be verbally counseled.

    4. Minor violations could include but are not limited to absences, not following safety rules, etc.

    5.  Serious violations can result in immediate dismissal without counseling or notice. The following is a list of violations that will result in immediate dismissal; this list is intended to be a guide and is not all inclusive.

    •  Inappropriate misuse of property, unauthorized removal of an animal from ACPR property, damage to property or endangering animals or humans.
    •  Possession of a dangerous weapon, use, sale or possession and distribution or being under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to follow specific appropriate instruction, falsification of any document, and intentionally misrepresenting ACPR or it's policies.

       I have read the volunteer orientation and understand that I am required to comply with the standard operation and procedures. I agree to forever release, waive and hold harmless ACPR, its agents, employees and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, resulting from the undersigned performing services for ACPR.

    I recognize that there are risks inherent in handling animals and while performing other services for ACPR. Nevertheless, I hereby agree to assure those risks and to release and to hold harmless all of the agencies or people mentioned, whether caused directly or indirectly by any negligence attributable to ACPR.
