2025 SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION

The Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega (AALO) Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Scholarship Program was established to ensure professional and personal development for continuous growth, advancement, and success through education, community involvement and mentoring.
The scholarship program provides scholarships annually to deserving students soon to be attending an establishment of higher learning.
The AALO Scholarship Program Committee will annually determine the number and amount of scholarships awarded as funding warrants. This year, Five - $1000 scholarships will be awarded to:
- Graduating high school seniors (3)
- Adult learners pursuing career advancement opportunities (2)
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be a resident of Prince George's County.
High School Student Applicants for the AALO Scholarship Program must be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school. The applicant must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (4.00 scale). Both female and male students are eligible.
Adult Learner Applicants must be seeking an experience which will further their personal or professional growth. This includes but is not limited to educational courses, professional workshops, or programs providing for personal or professional improvement of the applicant.

Recipients of the scholarships are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas:
