Ferguslie Park Housing Association is consulting tenants about a proposed rent increase from 7th April 2024. The Association is considering a 3.5% increase in rents which is an increase on average of about £3.45 per week.

This amount will vary depending on the current rent you pay. The increase will allow the Association to invest £1.5m in new windows, bathrooms and kitchens.

Our planned investment for 2025/26 currently aims for:

• 120 properties getting new kitchens
• 47 properties getting new bathrooms
• 41 properties getting new windows

In addition, there will be works for external repainting, environmental improvements and properties getting new boilers.

The Association has seen some large increases in costs of between 10 and 20% on average in the past year with some increases as high as 45%.

However, we are very keen to keep the increase as low as possible. We want to seek views about the rent increase and have some questions if you’d like to participate.

You will have seen and maybe experienced the issues with the cost of living increases and in particular gas and electricity increases.

The following questions aim to identify if there's any further assistance the Association could provide to reduce the impact.
