  • Counselling options

There are two options for counselling support. Either option would be provided free of charge by the charity for the duration of the pilot scheme (8 weeks or 6-12 months). Following the pilot the charity hopes to access grants to enable us to continue delivering this service and may/may not require an additional donation from participating individuals.
  • Option 1 is an Online Group Programme. This is an unstructured 8-week Group Programme called ‘StrongerTogether’ facilitated by a Rareminds Specialist Counsellor. It is a closed group of parents/carers of someone with a CASK disorder, with a maximum of 15 participants per group. This programme facilitates peer to peer support, can overcome isolation and offer tips and techniques for improving mental health by a trained counsellor with an exertise in rare disease and an understanding of CASK-related disorders.

  • Option 2 is the offer of 1:1 (individual) or 2:1 (couples) online counselling sessions for a duration of 6-12 months).

  • If completion of this survey has raised any issues for you about your mental health, please speak to your GP.
