- Two contrasting pieces or movements, accompaniment not required, such as:
  - Solo Bach (or equivalent)
  - Major Concerto (Wisconsin Class A solo repertoire or beyond)
- One major scale and arpeggio, 4 octaves preferred (3 octaves allowed)
- One minor scale and arpeggio, 4 octaves preferred (3 octaves allowed)
- Scales
  - 100bpm, 1/4 notes, (strings, 2 notes per bow)
  - 100bpm, 1/16 notes, (strings, 8 notes per bow)
- Arpeggios
  - 100-120bpm, 1/4 note, (strings, 3 notes per bow)
  - 100-120bpm, 1/8 note, (strings, 3 notes per bow)
Use a high-quality device to record the video and audio.

Video should be close enough to observe finger, hand, and arm activity for string players, and embouchure for wind players, but not too close.

Avoid lengthy accompaniment introductions.
