    Remonta Services General Code of Conduct
  • Purpose:
    This Code of Conduct applies to all workers, including contractors and their employees, engaged with Remonta Services. It sets clear expectations for professional behavior, compliance with NDIS standards, safety, and ethical service delivery. This Code ensures the protection, safety, and dignity of clients, in alignment with NDIS Practice Standards and our internal policies.

    1. Professionalism
    • All workers must perform their duties with integrity, honesty, and commitment to delivering high-quality services.
    • Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all times.
    • Workers must be punctual, reliable, and provide prior notice if unable to attend or complete scheduled tasks.
    • Dress in a manner appropriate for the services provided and adhere to any uniform policies where applicable.

    2. Respect and Dignity
    • Treat all clients, their families, and fellow workers with respect and dignity, regardless of their background, culture, gender, religion, or disability.
    • Respect clients' rights to make decisions about their own lives and services.
    • Provide services that support client independence, empowerment, and choice in line with NDIS values.
    • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

    3. Client-Centered Care and Support
    • Always prioritize the well-being, safety, and individual preferences of clients.
    • Workers must adhere to individualized care and support plans, ensuring services are tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
    • Encourage and enable clients to participate actively in decisions affecting their care and service delivery.
    • Provide services that are in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, ensuring clients receive high-quality care that fosters independence and dignity.

    4. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Data Protection

    • All workers must maintain the confidentiality of client information, in accordance with NDIS requirements and privacy laws.
    • Sensitive client information must not be disclosed to unauthorized persons, and should only be shared for legitimate service delivery purposes.
    • Workers must comply with Remonta Services' data protection policies and the Privacy Act 1988, ensuring that personal information is securely stored, shared only when necessary, and disposed of correctly.
    • Any breaches of confidentiality or data security must be reported immediately and may result in disciplinary action.

    5. Compliance with Policies, Procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards
    • All workers must adhere to Remonta Services policies and procedures, including but not limited to:

    • Workplace Health and Safety (WHS): Use PPE when required, follow safety protocols, and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
    • Incident Management: Report incidents, injuries, and near-misses in accordance with the Incident Management Policy, and ensure that follow-up actions are taken.
    • Risk Management: Follow established risk management protocols to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to clients, themselves, and others.
    • Complaints Management: Handle client complaints according to the Complaints Management Policy, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
    • Workers must comply with all relevant NDIS Practice Standards, including:
      • Rights and Responsibilities of NDIS participants
      • Service Delivery in line with client-centered care
      • Risk and Safeguards related to client well-being and safety

     

  • 6. Health and Safety Obligations

    • All workers are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by:

    • Taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, and ensuring actions do not pose risks to others.
    • Using and maintaining Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Ensuring that all tools and equipment used in service delivery are properly maintained and safe to use.
    • Completing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) where necessary.
    • Workers must immediately report any hazards, incidents, or injuries in accordance with the Incident Management Policy and cooperate in incident investigations.
    • Workers must adhere to WHS regulations to prevent harm to clients, colleagues, and themselves.

    7. Mandatory Checks, Qualifications, and ComplianceAll workers are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by:

    • All workers must maintain and update their mandatory checks and qualifications, including:
      • NDIS Worker Screening Check
      • Working with Children Check (if applicable)
      • Police Check (National Criminal History Check)
      • First Aid and CPR Certification (if applicable)
      • Any other qualifications relevant to the services provided
    • Workers must submit valid and current proof of these checks and qualifications before commencing work with Remonta Services.
    • Workers are responsible for ensuring that all qualifications and certifications remain up-to-date and must provide updates promptly when certifications are renewed or reissued.
    • Failure to maintain valid checks and certifications may result in the suspension or termination of work assignments.

    8. Training and Continuous Learning

    • All workers must complete the following mandatory training programs:
      • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
      • Supporting Effective Communication
      • New Worker NDIS Induction Module
      • Infection Prevention and Control
      • Worker Code of Conduct Module
      • Food Safety Training (if applicable)
    • Workers are encouraged to pursue additional training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in line with evolving industry standards.
    • Workers must stay up to date with changes to policies, procedures, and NDIS standards, completing any required additional training as mandated by Remonta Services.

    9. Conflict of Interest

    • Workers must disclose any potential or actual conflicts of interest that may interfere with their responsibilities or compromise the quality of services provided.
    • Workers must avoid any personal, financial, or other conflicts that could affect their ability to act in the best interests of clients or Remonta Services.
    • Any conflict of interest must be reported to management as soon as it is identified.

    10. Reporting, Accountability, and Documentation

    • All workers must report incidents, accidents, or breaches of this Code of Conduct to their supervisor immediately.
    • Workers are responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, including:
      • Progress Notes
      • Service Delivery Logs
      • Incident Reports
      • Support Plan Review Reports
      • Risk Management Plans
      • Client Satisfaction Surveys
      • Capacity Building Reports
    • All documentation must be submitted in line with Remonta Services' reporting timelines. Failure to comply may result in delayed payment or disciplinary action.

    11. Safeguarding Participants

    • All workers must be committed to the safety and well-being of NDIS participants, taking proactive steps to safeguard vulnerable individuals from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
    • Workers must be familiar with and adhere to the safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns immediately through the appropriate channels.
    • Maintain professional boundaries at all times and ensure that participants' rights to safety and dignity are upheld.

    12. Commitment to NDIS Values

    • All workers must respect and uphold the principles of the NDIS, including supporting the independence, rights, and participation of people with disabilities in society.
    • Workers must provide services that are inclusive, empowering, and respectful of the diverse needs and abilities of NDIS participants.

  • Contractor Agreement

    and

  • 1. Engagement of Services

    1.1 The Contractor agrees to provide professional services to the Company as outlined by Remonta Services, which may include but is not limited to home & yard maintenance, cleaning, support work, and other NDIS-related or non-NDIS services.

    1.2 The scope of services may also include any other activities as mutually agreed between the Contractor and the Company, which may evolve over time.

    1.3 The Contractor acknowledges that the Company is acting as an intermediary between NDIS participants and the Contractor.

    1.4 Where the Contractor is a company, the Contractor agrees to ensure that all personnel assigned to provide services under this Agreement are appropriately trained, qualified, and compliant with the terms outlined herein.

    1.5 The Contractor warrants that they have all applicable insurance to perfor

    m the duties.

    2. Term of Agreement

    2.1 This Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and shall continue until terminated by either party in accordance with the terms outlined herein.

    2.2 Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing 14 days' written notice to the other party.

    3. Contractor Obligations

    3.1 The Contractor agrees to adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and any updates thereof, and to sign acknowle

    dgment forms to confirm their understanding.

    3.2 The Contractor shall ensure that:

    • Before and after photos are taken,
    • Job completion forms are filled out,
    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and any other required safety documentation are completed prior to commencing work.
    • Marketing materials are provided to customers upon request. Contractors may also be required to wear company-branded shirts and display marketing materials as directed by the Company.

    3.3 The Contractor must submit all required reports, including but not limited to:

    • Progress Notes
    • Service Delivery Logs
    • Incident Reports
    • Support Plans
    • Emergency Plans
    • Behavioural Support Reports
    • Therapy Assessment and Review Reports
    • Risk Management Plans
    • Client Satisfaction Surveys
    • Capacity Building Reports

    3.4 Reports must be submitted before payment can be made for services rendered.

    4. Compliance & Training

    4.1 The Contractor agrees to complete the following NDIS training modules:

    • Worker Orientation Module
    • Supporting Effective Communication
    • New Worker NDIS Induction Module
    • Food Safety Training (for relevant workers)
    • Infection Prevention and Control

    4.2 The Contractor and any personnel engaged by the Contractor to provide services must provide the following checks, certifications, and qualifications prior to commencing any work under this Agreement:

    • NDIS Worker Screening Check
    • Working with Children Check
    • Police Check (National Criminal History Check)
    • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
    • Proof of relevant qualifications and training certificates
    • First Aid and CPR Certification (if applicable)
    • Proof of insurance, including public liability and professional indemnity (if applicable)

    4.3 The Contractor is responsible for maintaining appropriate Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance, including First Aid Kits, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensuring that all equipment used in the provision of services is properly maintained.

    4.4 Where the Contractor is a company, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure that all personnel assigned to the services have completed the required training modules and provided the necessary checks and qualifications.

    5. Payment Terms

    5.1 The Contractor will be compensated as per the agreed rates and acknowledges that the payment is inclusive of all taxes and worker entitlements.

    5.2 The Contractor will be compensated for valid and compliant invoices submitted by the Contractor within a period of up to 4 weeks from the date the invoice is received.

    5.3 Payments will be withheld if the Contractor fails to provide required reports or if there is any non-compliance with Company policies and procedures.

    6. Confidentiality & Data Protection

    6.1 The Contractor agrees to protect and keep confidential any sensitive information related to the Company, its clients, and any other confidential data encountered in the course of providing services.

    6.2 The Contractor must comply with all applicable data protection laws and Company policies regarding the handling of personal information.

    7. Dispute Resolution

    7.1 Any disputes arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be resolved through good faith negotiations between the parties.

    7.2 If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, the matter shall be referred to mediation, and if unresolved, legal recourse may be taken in accordance with the governing law.

    8. Governing Law

    8.1 This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the state or territory in which the Contractor primarily operates or provides services under this Agreement.

    9. Force Majeure

    9.1 Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or other events of force majeure.

    10. Conflict of Interest

    10.1 The Contractor must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to the Company and must not engage in any activities that would interfere with their ability to fulfill their obligations under this Agreement.

    11. Termination

    11.1 The Company reserves the right to terminate this Agreement with immediate effect if the Contractor is in breach of any material term of this Agreement, including but not limited to failure to comply with policies, training, or reporting requirements.

    11.2 Where the Contractor is a company, the Contractor must ensure that any notice of termination includes adequate arrangements for the completion of any outstanding services by a qualified individual.

    12. ABN Status Declaration

    12.1 The Contractor declares and warrants that they have a current, active ABN (Australian Business Number) and are actively trading as a business.

  • By signing this Agreement, the Contractor confirms that they have read and understood all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. They agree to comply with the Company’s policies, procedures, and obligations, including those related to compliance, training, and marketing requirements. The Contractor acknowledges their responsibilities under the NDIS standards and this Agreement and understands that failure to meet these obligations may result in termination of this Agreement or other penalties as outlined.
