This agreement outlines the promotional and ticketing services ArtsTix will provide for your organization, as well as your responsibilities when offering tickets through our platform.
Promotion & Visibility
ArtsTix will promote your performances across several channels, including our website (www.sdartstix.com), the ArtsTix Ticket Center in Downtown San Diego, and our weekly email newsletter, which reaches more than 14,000 subscribers. You are welcome to display fliers or brochures at the ArtsTix Box Office by dropping them off between 10am and 2pm on Saturdays or Sundays.
Ticketing Services
For organizations without their own box office, ArtsTix can serve as the official ticketing agent. In this role, ArtsTix will manage all aspects of ticketing, including setup, customer service, promo code support, and sales made online, by phone, and in person at the ArtsTix Ticket Center in Downtown San Diego, directly across from the Balboa Theatre. Please note that ArtsTix does not provide on-site staff for performances or events.
Ticket Allotments & Pricing
You may offer up to 100 tickets per performance at any price you choose. These tickets can be sold across any number of performances. While you may set any discount level, we recommend offering at least 10 tickets at 50% off for each performance. Tickets may be pulled back at any time by contacting us at artstix@sdpal.com or calling 619-234-ARTS (2787).
If you choose not to offer a 50% discount, please be aware that ArtsTix handling fees may cause the public price of your tickets to be higher than your regular box office rate.
“Who’s Coming” Emails & Managing Sales
You will set the cut-off time for ArtsTix sales. About 15 minutes after that cut-off, a “Who’s Coming” email will automatically be sent to the contact emails you provide. These emails are generated by AudienceView, so please ensure your server allows them through using the instructions in your “Welcome to AudienceView” email. That email will also prompt you to set a password if you wish to log in to AudienceView to view customer information or your “Who’s Coming” lists. For any questions or assistance, please contact us at artstix@sdpal.com or call 619-234-ARTS (2787).
Seat Assignment & Ticket Types
If your event offers assigned seating, your box office is responsible for assigning seats after receiving the Will Call Report from ArtsTix.
If you offer discounted tickets through ArtsTix, we will also list optional “Support-the-Arts Full Price” tickets, which allow patrons to pay more if they wish. When a patron purchases a “Support-the-Arts Full Price” ticket, the presenter agrees to assign those seats before assigning seats for patrons who purchased discounted tickets.
Commission Rates
ArtsTix receives a commission on the ticket price at the following rates:
• SDPAL Members: 7.5%
• Non-Members: 9%
For reference, the chart below outlines the service fees applied to tickets sold through ArtsTix based on the ticket price range.
