St. Patrick School Chess Club (2024-25)

Come learn to play the game of Kings and Queens with an Expert level Chess player! Mr. Matt Trujillo (a St. Patrick School parent) is currently one of the top rated players in the state of Michigan and winner of the 2019 State of Michigan Chess Championship. He has been teaching chess to kids for 20 years, and has taken several teams to the Scholastic State Championships.  Whether you already can play a mean game of chess or just a beginner Mr. Trujillo can help you improve your game!  

Mr. Trujillo is also looking for a few volunteers to help manage the group, you do not need to be a good chess player:) Please sign up below. 

When:  Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-5pm

10 Week Session- Chess Club will meet on 

1/21, 1/23, 1/28, 1/30,

2/4, 2/6, 2/18, 2/20, 2/27,

3/4, 3/6, 3/11, 3/13, 3/18, 3/25, 3/27

4/1, 4/3

Where:  St. Patrick Catholic School- C63

(pick-up will be at 5pm Door B)

Cost:  $40.00/student (covers all sessions)

Who?  Offered to all 5th-8th grade St. Patrick School students

(First come, first serve- we have 30 openings and plan to offer a spring session as well)
