  • Rules and Regulations


    1. Application to the Bovina Farmers Market must be submitted and accepted before a vendor will be permitted to participate in the market. Limited space is available, and preference for those spaces will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis with priority given to vendors who participated in previous Bovina Farmers Market seasons

    2. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance to participate in the market. Acceptance to sell at the market is at the discretion of the market organizers and sponsor. The organizers and sponsor of the market retain the right to accept and/or deny any vendor entry into the market.

    3. Certificates of insurance naming Livestock Foundation (P.O. Box 77, Bovina, NY 13740), Creamery Field LLC (1394 County Highway 6, Bovina, NY, 13740) & Town of Bovina (1866 County Highway 6, Bovina, NY 13740) are required to participate. Certificates can be sent directly from your insurance agency to bovinafarmmarket@gmail.com.

    4. The market is open to retailers producing agricultural products from local bonafide growers, producers of homemade products (i.e. baked goods, jams, etc.), and artisans offering original handmade work. No commercially manufactured products will be permitted.

    5. Vendors should familiarize themselves with state and local regulations and licensing requirements governing the production, display, distribution, sampling, and sale of their products. It is the vendor’s responsibility to maintain licensing from the NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets and/or the Department of Health, and all required licenses must be current and available to furnish.

    6. Vendors must be set up prior to the opening of the market at 4 pm.

    7. Vendors are responsible for providing their own tent, table, chairs, or any other equipment necessary for the sale of their product.

    8. No electricity is available. Wifi is available but success in its use will be dependent upon the compatibility of the vendor’s equipment and proximity to the source of the wifi.

  • Vendor Compliance and Indemnity Agreement:

    I (we) the undersigned, have read the rules and regulations for the Bovina Farmers Market and do agree to abide by these rules and regulations.

    I (we) further agree to operate my (our) space in accordance with these rules and regulations and to provide the required insurance.

    I (we) agree to obtain and keep current all required licenses from the NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets and/or the Department of Health, and have said licenses on hand to furnish upon request while at the market.

    I (we) further understand that failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the Bovina Farmers Market could mean dismissal from the market.

    I (we) understand that limited space is available, and preference for those spaces will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis with priority given to vendors who participated in previous Bovina Farmers Market seasons.

    As a vendor wishing to participate in the Bovina Farmers Market I (we) agree to DEFEND, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY the Bovina Farmers Market, including but not limited to its sponsors and the sponsors’ board members, employees, and volunteers, Livestock Foundation, Creamery Field LLC, and the Town of Bovina from any and all liability or responsibility arising from my participation, attendance, or any other involvement with the Bovina Farmers Market, whether such damages or liability arise out of acts by Bovina Farmers Market (including associated entities named above), myself, market customers, other vendors, my employees or associates.
