          • Complimentary Oxalic Acid Drip

          • Four Corners Beekeepers Association has adopted a standard recommended mite treatment for new packages after installation in their new hive at your home.  This treatment consists of a solid Oxalic Acid powder which is dissolved in water and "dribbled" onto the bees a few days after you have introduced them into the hive.

We have done this in an attempt to increase package survival and success for our members.  Treating at initial hiving helps reduce mite populations in the new hive, reducing stress on the hive as it is adopting its new queen and beginning the work to establish a new hive.

As an option to you (highly recommended) you will receive a vial of Oxalic Acid powder, a syringe, and instructions on how to perform the treatment correctly.  The process is simple and even brand new beekeepers can easily perform this treatment.
