This is a competitive opportunity as the selection of new committee members includes consideration of committee needs, relevant experience, skills, diversity, and regional balance. These roles require various levels of expertise in agricultural education, National FFA, industry trends and association with the focus area of the selected committee.

Committee Member Volunteer Position Description
Committee members are responsible for planning, development and implementation of the program or annual event. Committees range from 4-12 members. Please see the links below for the complete descriptions of each committee.
Commitment and Expectations
- Maintain role for 1-year term. If both parties are satisfied at the completion of the trial year, an offer to commit to a 3-year term will be made. Term limits are as follows:
- National Chapter, Agriscience Fair and SAE Based Awards and Degrees Committees membership is served in 3-year terms, and a member may serve not more than two terms for a maximum of 6 years total.
- CDE/LDE Committee membership is served in 3-year terms, and a member may serve not more than 3 terms for a maximum of 9 years total.
- Participate in 3-5 virtual committee meetings throughout the year to plan the current year and future years' events.
- Requires participation and support in the programs and events of the committee. The specifics of said participation will vary based on committee.
- Awards Programs: Support virtual judging events that take place ahead of the National FFA convention in July and September.
- CDE/LDE Committee: Requires moderate travel to National FFA convention to execute and implement the event.
