• Rotary Club of Carroll Creek Post-Secondary Scholarship Application 2025

  • The Rotary Club of Carroll Creek in Frederick, Maryland, is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization with over one million members. Rotarians are community leaders who have chosen to join together to offer support to individuals and organizations in their local communities and to service projects worldwide. One priority for Rotary is providing opportunities to young people through a post-secondary scholarship program.

    This year the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek will award multiple scholarships to:
    1. Students attending a trade or technical school
    2. Students attending a community college pursuing an Associate Degree or other certification
    3. Students attending a four-year college pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree

    To be eligible for a Rotary scholarship, a student must:
    1. Currently live in Frederick County, Maryland
    2. Graduating high school Senior in 2025
    3. Be accepted to an accredited U.S. college, university, or technical school for 2025-2026 academic year at the time the scholarship funds are provided.
    4. Be able to participate in the scholarship award presentation on Wednesday, May 7th, at 7:30 am
    5. Not have an immediate family member who is in the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.

    To be considered, an applicant must submit the following:
    1. A complete application
    2. An unofficial copy of your high school transcript, including any completed college courses
    3. Response to three short essay questions:
    a. In 200 words or less, please provide a summary of your academic achievements and include your education and personal goals for post-high school
    b. In 200 words or less, specify a requested scholarship amount, up to $5,000, and how you would use those funds and how it would impact your studies.
    c. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self.” In 200 words or less, tell us how you feel you embody
    "service above self" in your life and your community.

    Optional supplemental information
    1. A copy of any test scores (SAT, ACT, TOEFL) used for admissions to a post-secondary institution.
