Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Catering Kitchen Manager to lead our food preparation and execution for events while ensuring top-quality service and client satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and overseeing event execution.
A key part of this position is learning to operate and transport our mobile wood-fired pizza oven to events, ensuring seamless setup and service. This role requires strong culinary expertise, organization, and adaptability to handle diverse catering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare and cook meals in advance or on-site during events, maintaining exceptional taste and presentation.
- Adapt techniques and recipes as needed to suit event logistics and client needs.
Catering Team Management
- Supervise and train staff for food preparation, setup, and service.
- Coordinate tasks to ensure smooth and efficient event execution.
Inventory and Supply Coordination
- Manage procurement of ingredients, equipment, and supplies for each event.
- Maintain efficient inventory practices to minimize waste and control costs.
Safety, Sanitation, and Logistics
- Ensure food safety throughout preparation, transport, and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and adherence to health regulations, even in off-site setups.
Client Interaction and Customization
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and special requests.
- Deliver an exceptional experience that exceeds expectations and fosters positive feedback.
Event Execution and Presentation
- Work alongside the team during events, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Adapt to on-site challenges and last-minute changes with professionalism and poise.
Adaptation and Innovation
- Develop creative solutions to overcome venue-specific constraints.
- Stay current with catering trends to continually enhance offerings and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience.
- Current food manager certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday.
- Exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to perform under pressure.
