1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.
2. Description of Services
CharcBoards & Boxes offers a variety of custom-made charcuterie products, including but not limited to cheese, fruit, vegetables, and nuts uniquely arranged on platters, wooden boards, and specialty items, for individual orders, events, and special occasions. Note: none of our products are home made by us.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time, with or without notice.
3. Ordering
All orders must be placed through our online order form or by contacting us directly. We ask that orders be placed at least 72 hours in advance to ensure availability. Contact us and we will try to accommodate last minute orders if feasible.
For custom charcuterie orders, customers must provide all personalization requests in writing. While we will do our best to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee availability of all items based on stock or seasonal variations.
Payment is due in full at the time of order confirmation. We accept payments via PayPal and PayLink. Orders will not be processed until payment is received and confirmed. Note, a 4% processing charge will be applied to all payments.
4. Delivery and Pickup
We offer delivery in Prince George's County Maryland and the local surrounding areas of Maryland, DC, and northern Virginia. Delivery charges are calculated based on location and order size. Delivery date and time will be confirmed at the time of the order.
If you choose to pick up your order, please arrive at the designated pickup time. We are not responsible for items left beyond the pickup window. Additionally, we are not responsible for any damages once the product is in your possession or during transport or delays or damages due to weather, traffic, or issues with third-party delivery services. Any delivery-related complaints must be reported to us immediately within 2 hours of delivery.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Orders canceled with 72 hours notice before the scheduled delivery or pickup time may be fully refunded.
A 50% refund will be issued for orders canceled between 48 and 72 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup time.
No refund will be issued for last minute cancelations with less than 48 hours notice.
Orders with specialty items may be subject to a different cancellation policy which will be communicated at the time of order placement.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, last minute event cancellation, or issues arising from incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.
6. Allergies and Special Dietary Requests
Allergy Disclaimer: While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, our products may contain allergens such as dairy, nuts, gluten, and other ingredients. Customers with allergies must notify us at the time of order, and we will aim to accommodate special dietary needs.
Special Requests: We will do our best to accommodate specific requests (e.g., vegan, gluten-free), but we cannot guarantee complete adherence due to ingredient availability.
7. Product Quality and Availability
Product Substitutions: If an item in your order is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with a similar product. Customers will be informed of any substitutions prior to fulfillment.
Perishability: Our products are perishable, and we recommend consuming them within 2-3 hours from delivery or pickup. We are not responsible for spoilage or illness if the products are left unattended or improperly stored or handled.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. All data collected during the ordering process will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order, improving our services, and to comply with the law. All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and
accurate.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use our services or products for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms and Conditions. You also agree not to:
Alter our products with intent to knowingly and willingly sicken others
Violate the rights of third parties
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our business
Use our services for commercial solicitation without our prior written consent
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CharcBoards & Boxes shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or illnesses arising out of or in any way connected with the use or consumption of our services or products.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CharcBoards & Boxes, its affiliates, owner, directors, employees, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, illnesses, losses, or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of our services or consumption of our products.
Any disputes should be handled at the lowest level via mediation between the business owner and the customer.
12. Intellectual Property
All content provided on our website and social media platforms, including but not limited to logos, images, and text, are the intellectual property of CharcBoards & Boxes and may not be used without express permission.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Prince George's County, Maryland.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
