Tier 2 Manufacturers and Suppliers are the backbone of their regional swimming pool and spa markets, known for their specialised expertise and close community ties. These businesses primarily operate within a specific state, territory, or region, providing high-quality, tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of their clientele. Tier 2 businesses excel in delivering personalised service and fostering strong relationships within their markets.
Tier 3 Manufacturers and Suppliers are key players within the swimming pool and spa industry, characterised by their extensive geographic reach, substantial market presence, and robust operational capabilities. These businesses, deliver high-quality products and services on a national scale. Tier 3 suppliers are recognised leaders and innovators in the industry.
Builder membership is available to individuals or organisations involved in the design, construction, installation, or renovation of swimming pools and spas within their specified region.
The Master Pool Builder (MPB) program is available exclusively to current SPASA builder - established members, or those applying for builder membership, provided they meet the MPB program criteria. Upon selecting this category, a SPASA representative will contact you to discuss your eligibility for the MPB program.
Landscaper membership is available to individuals or organisations engaged in landscaping work. Note: This category does not cover pool building, or the construction or installation of the pool or spa shell.
Pool and Spa Fencing and Barriers membership is available to individuals or organisations that specialise in the installation and repairs of safety barriers for pools and spas.
Sub-Contractor membership is available to individuals or organisations working within the industry and performing specialised tasks related to swimming pools and spas, such as tiling, concreting, steel fixing, and more. Note: This category does not include pool building or the direct construction or installation of the pool or spa for consumers.
Swimming Pool, Spa, and Service Retailer membership is available to individuals or organisations that offer a diverse range of retail products and maintenance services for swimming pools and spas.
Spa Retailer membership is available to individuals or organisations that primarily sell prefabricated spas.
Service Technician membership is available to individuals or organisations that provide post-construction servicing for domestic, commercial, and public swimming pools and spas, as well as offer a variety of maintenance services for pools and spas.
Consultant / Professional Services membership is available to individuals or organisations that offer consulting or professional services to the industry. This category includes, but is not limited to, expert consultants, engineers, architects, surveyors, valuers, solicitors, accountants, and financial institutions.
Private Certifier membership is available to individuals or organisations accredited to issue building approvals and undertake inspections, confirming that a development complies with legislative requirements. Note: Proof of registration or licensure is required to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
A Pool and Spa Barrier / Safety Inspector membership is available to individuals or organisations that conduct inspections of pool and spa barriers, issue certificates, and provide related safety advice. Note: Proof of registration or licensure (where applicable) is required for pool barrier inspectors to ensure regulatory compliance.
Commercial Facilities membership is available to individuals or organisations specialising in the management of various water-related facilities, recreational swimming environments, and water-themed attractions.
A Student membership is available to individuals currently enrolled in accredited training with SPASA’s training division, the Institute of Research and Learning (IRLearning). This membership category is exclusively for new entrants to the industry who are undertaking accredited training with the Institute of Research and Learning (IRLearning). This membership is valid only for the duration of the accredited training with IRLearning and does not include voting rights. Student Membership is not available to individuals who would typically qualify for one of the other membership categories. * No application fee is required for this category.
Multiple Memberships:
The membership fee structure is calculated against the main business operated. Any additional businesses, listings, or stores will receive a 50% discount on any corresponding additional membership categories.
Payment Terms:
An invoice will be sent upon receipt of the application and a non-refundable application fee of $110.00 will be charged. The application will be processed once payment is finalised;

If accepted as a member of the Swimming Pool & Spa Association (SPASA), you agree to comply with the Association's Constitution and any rules set by the Board of Directors. You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure payments are made in a timely manner and remain liable for any outstanding fees or levies as determined by the Board.
