2026 SALALM Conference Attendance Scholarship Recommendation Letter Submission
To the Recommender:

The letter of reference is required as part of the student's application. An application is considered complete only when a letter of reference is received by the committee on or before the deadline.

The letter should be between one and two pages in length.

In your letter you should discuss the applicant's abilities, achievements, and personal qualities, particularly as it relates to Latin America, the Caribbean, U.S. Latino/a populations, or Iberian studies. It should also include discussion of how you know the applicant.

The file you submit should be in PDF format and be labeled with the student applicant's name using the following naming convention: LASTNAME.firstname_rec.

The deadline for submission is Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11:59 PM, Pacific Time.
