By submitting this form, you agree to follow all of The Lillian Co.'s testing procedures.
The vessel must undergo a Water Tightness Test, where it should be filled with water for a minimum of 30 minutes to check for slow leaks. If there is a leak, please send detailed pictures of the damage; do not attempt repairs before contacting The Lillian Co.
The Heat Safety Test involves heating water to 195°F and placing it into the vessel. For safety, place the vessel in a sink or tub to avoid injury—do not hold the vessel during testing.
The Volume Measurement must be accurate, with at least 1/4 inch headspace, and the exact volume should be recorded on the provided Excel sheet if applicable.
All vessels must be thoroughly cleaned of any debris or excess patina before testing.
In addition, the vessel must be made of approved materials, including metals, porcelain, jasperware, and ceramics, with no crystal or glass allowed.
The vessel must hold at least 10 ounces in volume, and there are no maximum volume limits.
The vessel must meet all of these safety and material requirements to be officially approved by The Lillian Co. for certification.
