Your puppy will be seen by a vet before going home. They will be placed on a deworming schedule. They will receive their microchip and first puppy vaccines, considered its "core vaccines." Please confirm with your vet but it will need to have these same vaccines given at 12 and 16 weeks before they will be considered immune to the diseases. Limited Registration

This puppy/dog is a purebred McNab Shepherd that is being sold with limited registration. The puppy/dog should not be bred at any time. If any offspring are produced they will not be eligible for registration and a $3,000.00 penalty will be due for breach of contract. All dogs/puppies on limited registration must be altered. Preferably by ovarian sparing spay for females and vasectomy for males at owners expense by no sooner than 20 months of age and no later than 34 months of age. Females should have their first heat cycle before being spayed. Breeder should be notified once the puppy has been altered. We follow the latest guidelines on spaying and neutering by UC Davis.

    Care of Dog/Puppy

It's imperative that all dogs/puppies will be fed an appropriate diet that is free of potatoes, peas, and legumes due to the latest FDA research showing food containing those ingredients have potential to cause Dilated Cardiomyopathy. We are currently feeding Farmina N&D Ancestral Grains and Diamond Naturals. All puppies/dogs will be sent home with food to help transition them onto their new food.

All puppies/dogs will be properly vetted on a regular basis according to your vet's recommendation. Kept on a flea/tick and heartworm medication year round. Follow your vets recommended vaccination or titer testing protocol. All puppies/dogs will be kept on health insurance.

Puppies/dog should have appropriate shelter and housing. Buyer acknowledges that they have an appropriate facility to properly care for their McNab including a fenced in yard or a plan in place to provide a safe way to exercise their McNab. Any puppy/dog found to be living on a chain will be in breach of this contract.

McNabs are a working breed and it's imperative to sign your puppy up for a Puppy Training Class no later than 1 week after arriving home. We have until puppies are 14 weeks before their sensitive period closes. We need to continue giving them as many positive experiences as possible. It is also strongly recommended that training is continued further throughout the puppy's/dog's second year of life. The Breeder is happy to help owners find ethical and knowledgeable trainers in their area. By signing this contract you agree to these terms.

We can not guarantee that any puppy or dog will work stock or perform in any other type of work such as but not limited to: dog sports, search and rescue, therapy dog, and service dog work. We do our best to place puppies in homes suited to their needs by temperament testing and testing dogs on stock before placement.
