ABOUT
MISSISSIPPI PRESENTERS NETWORK
The Mississippi Presenters Network is a non-profit organization focused on assisting and building a strong network of arts presenters across Mississippi. MSPN organizes workshops, collaborative projects, and resource sharing to support passionate, thriving arts leaders and communities which support the creative spirit of Mississippi. With the generous partnership of the Ed and Becky Meek Foundation, we are able to continue our mission of encouraging growth and capacity buidling of the arts thorughout the state of Mississippi.
GUIDELINES:
The Lafayette County Arts Leadership Award is an annual recognition designed to celebrate the outstanding contributions of Mississippi-based artists to the state’s cultural heritage and creative economy. This prestigious award will provide a $10,000 monetary prize to an artist or arts presenter who demonstrates exceptional artistic excellence, innovation, and a commitment to enriching Lafayette county’s cultural identity. Open to artists and arts presenters across all disciplines, nominees will be selected through a rigorous process emphasizing artistic quality, community impact, and representation of the state’s diverse heritage.
The deadline for award submission is May 31st, 2025
Projects can be nominated by anyone from a community member.
Nominees will be highlighted in a social media campaign by the Presenters Network with winners receiving a $10,000 award to support the growing community of artists and arts presenters in the area.
Winners and nominees will also be recognized at a banquet in August of 2025.
How Will Submission Be Used:
The first round of applications are designed as an accessible, form style, application that should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete. Select applicatnts will then be chosen to participate in a second application round which will dive deeper into the applicants artistic quality, community impact, and representation of the state’s diverse heritage.
