  • 1. ParticipationThe Stallion Owner agrees to participate, and/or have their stallion participate, in stallion row organized by Teton Horse Experience (“Event”).

    2. Assumption of RiskThe Stallion Owner acknowledges that working with, exhibiting, transporting, or handling horses—especially stallions—carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: injury, death, to person(s), animals, stallion, property damage, illness or stress to horse(s).

    The Stallion Owner voluntarily assumes all such risks, known and unknown, associated with their stallion’s participation in the Event.

    3. Responsibility for Stallion and DamagesThe Stallion Owner agrees that they are solely responsible for:

    the care, handling, control, and management of their stallion
    any and all injuries, damages, losses, or claims caused by or related to their stallion
    any injury, illness, death, or harm to persons, animals, equipment, facilities, vehicles, spectators, staff, or other participants caused by their stallion or themselves
    The Stallion Owner accepts full financial responsibility for any resulting costs, including medical bills, veterinary bills, property repair or replacement, and legal claims, attorney fees.

    4. Release of LiabilityThe Stallion Owner hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges Teton Horse Experience, its owners, officers, staff, volunteers, representatives, agents, contractors, and venue providers from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action arising from:

    personal injury, sickness or death to the stallion owner or their stallion
    loss, theft, or damage to property
    injury or damage caused by the stallion or stallion owner
    any accident, incident, or occurrence connected with Event participation
    This waiver applies regardless of negligence on the part of Teton Horse Experience, except where prohibited by law.

    5. IndemnificationThe Stallion Owner agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Teton Horse Experience, Wind River Arena from any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from or relating to:

    the stallion’s presence or participation at the Event
    the actions or negligence of the Stallion Owner or their stallion
    6. Veterinary & Emergency CareThe Stallion Owner is solely responsible for providing or arranging veterinary care and accepts all costs for medical or emergency treatment for their stallion.
    Teton Horse Experience is not responsible for any veterinary costs or outcomes.

    7. InsuranceThe Stallion Owner acknowledges that Teton Horse Experience does not provide insurance coverage for the stallion or stallion owner and that the Stallion Owner is encouraged to carry personal, liability, or veterinary insurance.

    8. Photo, Video, and Media Release

    The Stallion Owner grants Teton Horse Experience full permission to photograph, film, record, livestream, and otherwise capture the stallion, Stallion Owner, and any associated handlers during participation in the Event.
    The Stallion Owner understands and agrees that all media collected may be used by Teton Horse Experience for promotional, educational, commercial, advertising, social media, livestream, or archival purposes without compensation, approval, or further notification.

    The Stallion Owner waives all rights to inspect or approve the use of any media and releases Teton Horse Experience from any claims related to use of likeness, images, voice, branding, or video recordings.
    This release shall be valid indefinitely and applies to all current and future forms of media unless revoked in writing and acknowledged by both Parties.

    9. Boarding/Stalling, Care, and Custody

    If a stall or boarding space is provided for the stallion during the Event, the Stallion Owner agrees to the following

    Responsibility for Care:
    The Stallion Owner remains fully responsible for feeding, watering, care, exercising, handling, and supervision of the stallion at all times, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
    Condition of Stall & Property:
    The Stallion Owner agrees to maintain cleanliness and safety of the stall and surrounding area.
    Any damage caused by the stallion to stalls, pens, fencing, gates, arenas, vehicles, equipment, or other property will be repaired or replaced at the Stallion Owner’s full cost.
    Risk of Loss:
    Teton Horse Experience does not accept responsibility for injury, illness, escape, theft, or death of the stallion while boarded or stalled on the premises.
    The stallion is boarded at the Stallion Owner’s sole risk.
    Emergency Decision-Making:
    In the event that the stallion is unsupervised and Teton Horse Experience in good faith deems emergency action necessary to protect the stallion, other animals, people, or property, Teton Horse Experience may:

    contact a veterinarian,
    relocate the stallion,
    administer basic emergency care,
    or request removal from premises.
    The Stallion Owner agrees to fully reimburse any costs incurred due to such emergency action. This clause does not obligate Teton Horse Experience to provide any care.
    Removal from Premises:
    If the stallion is considered unsafe, uncontrollable, or poses a risk to others, Teton Horse Experience reserves the right to require immediate removal from the event grounds without refund or liability.
    Feed & Supplies:
    Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Stallion Owner is responsible for providing all feed, hay, supplements, bedding, equipment, and supplies for the stallion.
    10. AcknowledgmentBy signing below, the Stallion Owner acknowledges they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this Liability Waiver and Release.
