Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
2. The bursary is open to individuals who demonstrate financial need, physical fitness, emotional resilience, and a commitment to fundraising.

Bursary Scope:

1. The bursary covers the full cost of The Resilience Trek: Kokoda 2025, including flights, accommodation, and trek-related expenses (excludes Porter fees).
2. Trek is scheduled to take place June 6th-15th, 2025.

Fundraising Commitment:

1. Recipients are required to raise the full $7,500 fundraising target. Fundraising must be completed by return of the Trek in 2025.

Participation Requirements:

1. Recipients must commit to attending all mandatory pre-trek training sessions organised by Momentum Mental Health and Aurora Adventures.
2. Recipients must join the trek from start to finish in June 2025.

Health and Safety:

1. Recipients are required to disclose any medical conditions or physical limitations before acceptance.
2. Participation is contingent upon clearance from a medical professional.

Withdrawal and Cancellation:

1. If the recipient withdraws or cancels their participation for any reason, the bursary will be revoked, and funds may need to be reimbursed to Momentum Mental Health.

Evaluation Process:

1. Applications will be evaluated based on weighted criteria, including physical fitness, socio-economic disadvantage, teamwork, resilience, and leadership potential.
2. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a selection committee.
3. The decision of the selection panel is final.

Bursary Recognition:

1. Recipients may be required to participate in promotional activities for the trek, including media interviews, social media content, or event appearances.

Confidentiality:

1. All personal and financial information provided in the application will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of bursary selection.

Other:

1. The bursary is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other benefits.
