Dawson's Stronger Communities Grant Program Round 9

Expressions of interest (EOI) for applications close 5pm, 10th February 2025, no late applications will be accepted.

For clarity, this is a two step application process. The application dates referenced within the grant guideline material linked above, are with regard to timelines for the submission of a full application, which follows on from a successful application within this EOI process.

After the EOI's close, the applications will be reviewed by a Community Consultation Committee.

Successful EOI's will be nominated by the MP to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DSR). Successful organisations will be contacted by The Department with a link, via email, to officially apply for a Stronger Communities Grant. This is expected to be from mid to late February 2025 and these must be completed by 28th March 2025.

All correspondence will be sent via email to the email addresses provided in your submission so please check these inboxes regularly.

The Department aims to assess applications and advise of approval in June 2025 for payment in July 2025 (TBC). Grant funding able to be spent from the date you submit your application, and must be completed by 31 December 2025.

Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available to deliver infrastructure projects that provide social benefits for local communities by encouraging and supporting participation in local projects, improving local community participation, and/or contributing to vibrant and viable communities.

There are significant changes to the Grant Opportunity Guidelines for Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme, including important changes requiring projects to align with to program objectives (section 2) and be one of a list of specific eligible project activities (section 5.1). Please be aware that some project activities that received funding under previous rounds of the program may not be eligible for funding under Round 9.
