LOCATION: The AquaBoom BBQ Cook Off will be held at the Kingsland Community Center, located at 3451 Rose Hill Drive, Kingsland TX, 78639. Cooking sites will be on the grassy lot next to the Community Center building.
COMPETITION FEES: All Meat (Chicken, Pork Spare Ribs, Brisket) is $180. Beans, Steak (ribeye), Margaritas and Bloody Marys are $20 each. Payments may be made by check, cash, or credit card. Make checks payable to Kingsland AquaBoom. CASH OR CREDIT ONLY AFTER JUNE 14, 2026. NO REFUNDS AFTER JUNE 14, 2026. NO REFUNDS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!
CHECK-IN TIME: Set-up and check-in starts at 8:00am on Friday July 3rd.
SET-UP: Your site number will be assigned and issued upon arrival by the event coordinator on Friday July 3rd. Kingsland AquaBoom provides the space only. Bring your own tables, chairs, tents, water, etc. All sites must be self-sustaining: NO ELECTRICITY OR WATER PROVIDED. (This includes hookups for RVs/travel trailers)
JUDGING: Judging will take place in the Community Center Building. The building will not be open to the public. Only judges, authorized event personnel and team leaders (to drop off entry at designated competition times) will be allowed in the building. ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL WILL BE REMOVED. All competition times are approximate and are subject to change by the judging coordinator at their discretion.

CLEAN-UP/BREAKDOWN: It is your responsibility to ensure that your area is left in a clean and orderly manner when you leave. Trash containers are available on site. All areas must be cleaned and vacated by 7pm Saturday, July 4.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Water, ice, coolers, snacks, etc. WILL NOT be provided. The water and ice we have available in the volunteer tent and judging building is limited and is for our volunteers and judges only. THE WEATHER WILL BE HOT. Please prepare accordingly. All beverages must be in plastic bottles or cans. NO GLASS BOTTLES ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.
- Portable restrooms and trash receptacles will be provided. Restrooms inside the judging building will not be available.
- Pets will be allowed, but pet owners will be responsible for pet’s behavior, interactions and clean-up. Pets must be well behaved, unaggressive, non-destructive and interact well with other animals, children and the general public. Pet owners MUST clean up any pet waste. Pets will be allowed in outdoor areas only. NO ANIMALS INSIDE THE JUDGING BUILDING AT ANY TIME - NO EXCEPTIONS. Please keep your pet confined to your assigned competition site only. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your pet if complaints or problems occur.
- ELECTRICITY OR WATER WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
- While we do everything we can to accommodate any special needs, please remember this is an outdoor venue and we are limited to what we can do.
