Robert was only 51 when he passed away from brain cancer in 2019. He loved life and was passionate about giving back to his community, whether volunteering on boards, teaching fitness classes, coaching youth soccer, or teaching cross-country skiing. He built numerous life-long friendships, always building people up, and leaving them with a kind word and a smile. Family, friends, and organizations established this scholarship and the annual memorial match to inspire others to give back to their community and pursue their dreams. Applications can be written in French or English. Recipients are encouraged to attend and help with the organization of the annual memorial match if living in the Fredericton area.
