2025 National Survey on the Most Valuable Skills to Learn in School
Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this survey!
Hello from reDesign!
If you are 16-24 years old, we hope you will share some insights with us in this 9-minute research survey on what you find valuable (and not) in school. The survey asks you to examine nine skill sets (what we call the Future9 Competencies), and share your opinion about their value for life beyond high school. As you begin the survey, you will be prompted to give your consent/assent to participate, along with parental permission if applicable.
PARTICIPATE BY 3/31 FOR A CHANCE TO RECEIVE A GIFT CARD!
As a thank you, we will provide gift cards to ten randomly selected participants: ONE (1) $100 e-gift card, & NINE (9) $50 e-gift cards. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. resident who completed the survey, receive parental consent to participate if under 18, and be willing to share your name and email. After the survey closes on March 31, 2025, e-gift cards will be distributed to those who were selected through the Tremendous platform. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to laura@redesignu.org. More detailed Terms & Conditions for the gift card distribution can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/future92025

Consent/Assent to Participate
I agree to (and/or allow my child, if under 18) to participate in the reDesign Future9 Competencies survey conducted to gain perspectives from 16-24 year olds about key skills for the future. All individual survey data will be de-identified and largely aggregated within any external publications, unless we receive explicit written consent to use your (or your child's) name and/or likeness. I understand that participation in this research study is voluntary and I agree to immediately raise any concerns or areas of discomfort I (and/or my child) might have by contacting the reDesign project lead (laura@redesignu.org, www.redesignu.org). I also consent/assent for me (or my child) to be entered into a drawing for e-gift cards that will be distributed to ten randomly selected participants by reDesign after the survey closes on 3/31/25 as a small token of appreciation. Signing below means that you have read this form, you are willing to participate in this survey (and/or for your child to participate), and you understand that the results may become part of future research publications or reports.
