  • The TNV Youth Scholarship is to assist TNV enrolled citizens who wish to attend athletic, scholastic, cultural, leadership trainings, events, camps, and programs that will help the applicant reach their goals. This does not cover tuition at private schools, tuition for college level classes, laptops, iPads, or cell phones.

    The TNV Youth Scholarship is administered by the TNV Citizen Engagement Committee. Scholarship funding is evaluated on an annual basis and applicants can apply for more than one scholarship throughout the year, however cumulative funding is capped at $1,000 total for each applicant for the award year.

    To apply fill out this form fully and attach required documents in the File Drop located at the end. Before submitting make sure to go over the scholarship's description on woodyisland.com and check that you met the requirments and have all the needed documents.   • Applicants 9 years old and up should prepare an essay between 100 and 300 words that include an introduction of you and your family, why you are participating in the program you are attending, and any goals that you hope to achieve or anything that you hope to learn in the program. Applicants 6 to 8 years old can submit a drawing or a short essay that they dictate through their parent/guardian on why they would like to attend the training, camp, or event.

    Tips for writing your essay:
    - Introduction: Name, family, siblings and parents/guardians.
    - Background: Event or activity, why and why you chose to attend?
    - Objective: What do you hope to achieve or what you hope to learn?
    - Conclusion: Why do you want to be considered for this grant?
    - Always proofread for spelling and punctuation.
    - Review the requirements and ensure that you have met them
