✨ Position Details:
Role: Shop Sales Associate
Hours: 8–20 hours per week
Shift Structure: You’ll typically work solo, and shifts begin 15 minutes before the shop opens. (We never close early!)
Role: Pop-Up/Hat Bar Event Associate (Moon Child Only)
Hours: early morning to late into the evening
Shift structure: You may work solo, you may work an event with Jancyn, paid drive-time is possible
MCC/secondEDIT Store Hours:
Thursday + Friday: 12PM–6PM
Saturday: 10AM–4PM
Sunday: 12PM–4PM
Availability: Flexible schedule with weekend availability required.
Weather Policy: Rain, snow, or shine — we’re here within reason!
💫 What We’re Looking For:
Passion for fashion and the shop-small movement
Self-starter with a positive attitude
16 years old or older
Preferred: 1 year of retail experience (not required)
Strong merchandising and visual eye
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (you’ll talk to a lot of people!)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
Creative and confident problem-solver
Comfortable working independently
Proficient with iPads and POS systems
Cash handling
Weekend and some holiday availability (we are closed on major holidays; weekends + Saturdays are a must- please do not apply if you do not want to work Saturdays and Sundays)
🛍 Daily Responsibilities (Shop Sales Associate):
Open and/or close the store independently
Deliver an exceptional customer experience
Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
Process inventory and restock as needed
Style customers at the Hat Bar to create one-of-a-kind pieces
Assist with loss prevention
Support special and after-hours events
Act as a Moon Child/secondEDIT ambassador — in the shop and in the community
🌟 Pop-Up Associate Responsibilities:
Meet with Jancyn to prep for each pop-up
Pack and transport merchandise using your own reliable vehicle
Set up and tear down booth; create a mini Moon Child experience
Merchandising and visual display skills
Handle POS sales and styling at events
Be flexible, organized, and able to troubleshoot on the go
Weekend and holiday availability required
🧚♀️ Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 35 lbs), and maneuver on the shop floor
Comfortable working alone
Willingness to take initiative and do what needs to be done
