AUDITIONS FOR THE 2026 MINERETTES WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 2026 AT HILLTOP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL FROM 1-5 PM. **PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING INTEREST WE HAVE RECEIVED, WE WILL SPLIT THE AUDITION TIME BLOCK BY AGE: 1 PM-3 PM - AGES 7-11. 3 PM-5 PM - AGES 12+. IF YOU FIND YOU HAVE A TIME CONFLICT WITH YOUR ASSIGNED TIME BLOCK, OR WITH THE AUDITION DATE, PLEASE LET US KNOW SO WE CAN ACCOMMODATE YOU WITH AN ALTERNATIVE AUDITION. FOR THE AUDITIONS:

Come in fitted, athletic clothing and dress to impress. Hair should be neat and swept away from the face. Dance wear - leotards, tanks, shorts, yoga pants are appropriate. Try to avoid baggy t-shirts or sweatshirts. Barefoot, socks or dance shoes (jazz or half soles) are fine. Natural or light makeup is appropriate, but not necessary. Please bring water! No food.

There will be 2 Main components of the audition - 1) skills/technique assessment (dance, acro, flexibility); 2) dance choreography. We are looking for kids who can move well, follow instruction, and who have varying levels of dance and tumbling skills. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME.

Those dancers who would like to audition for the Diamond Show Group will be taken aside during the audition session for a brief interview. During the interview, we will ask them basic questions. The kids should introduce with them with their "slate:" (Name, age, where they live, where they go to school). And then we will ask them a few easy questions. Here are some examples if you want to practice with them:

1. Why do you want to be part of this team? 2. What is your favorite part of school? and why? 3. What do you want to be when you grow up? 4. What is your favorite thing about dance, gymnastics or cheer? and why? 5. What part of being on this team is most exciting to you?
