At CVC, coaching is a high-stakes mission. We do not hire "facilitators" — we recruit Architects of Performance. You are responsible for the technical precision, psychological durability, and tactical execution of your squad. We operate on a single, non-negotiable premise: The Standard you walk past is the Standard you accept.
THE CVC MERITOCRACY: DRIVE OVER PAPER
Experience is an asset, but Character is the requirement. If you are a beginner coach with an unshakable work ethic and a "Rowing" mentality, we want you. We will shape you into a CVC-standard leader. We will provide the technical blueprint, the data tools, and the CVC methodology. You must provide the relentless drive to master them. You must have the drive to learn, the intelligence to process data, and the discipline to maintain our tempo. We don't care where you started; we care about the standard you can maintain.
METHODOLOGY: THE CVC BLUEPRINT
CVC is inspired by the Japanese style of volleyball — a methodology defined by and prioritises technical mastery, relentless floor defense, and high-IQ tactical execution. In the Japanese tradition, we believe that "Boredom is the birthplace of success". Our coaches must be obsessed with the "Boredom of Mastery," finding the micro-details in every repetition. If that sounds like you, you will thrive here. If you are a "roll the balls out and scrimmage" coach, this is not your home.
OPERATIONAL TEMPO: 5-HOURS OF EXECUTION
Our playing identity — Fast, Relentless, Precise — demands an elite operational tempo. You will lead 5 hours of mandatory weekly load, encompassing technical blocks, tactical systems, and "Cross-Training" versatility. We track every minute. We measure every contact.
THE FEEDBACK LOOP: RADICAL HONESTY
CVC utilises an "Advisor" feedback loop. You will be expected to give — and receive — brutally honest, data-driven feedback. We prioritise the "Raw Truth" over agreeable validation because it is the only way to reach CVC's Vision 2032 and become Queensland's leading force by the Brisbane Olympics.
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU
We are looking for leaders who possess:
- Tactical Sovereignty: The ability to "steer the ship" with absolute confidence and precision.
- Data-Driven Logic: A willingness to utilise video analysis and performance metrics to drive selection and training.
- Cultural Guardianship: A commitment to protecting the CVC DNA — even when it involves making difficult roster decisions.
- Continuous Evolution: A desire to be part of our 2027/28 Strategic Goal: The Japan Technical Exchange Tour.
Qualifications and Australian accreditations are not required. While we recognise Australian pathways, CVC prioritises in-house technical development. We value an 'Empty Cup' (Shoshin) over local accreditations that do not align with our Japanese-inspired methodology.
