Volunteer Guidelines for Lloyd Mural Fest
General Expectations
Punctuality: Volunteers should arrive on time for assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
Professionalism: Represent Lloyd Mural Fest positively while interacting with artists, attendees, and other volunteers.
Communication: Report to your designated team leader and notify them of any issues or changes in your availability.
Conduct
Respect: Treat everyone with kindness and understanding, including artists, fellow volunteers, and festival visitors.
Safety First: Follow all safety guidelines, especially during installations and event setup/teardown. Report unsafe conditions immediately.
Appropriate Attire: Wear comfortable but appropriate clothing suited to your role (e.g., outdoor gear, sturdy shoes).
Role-Specific Guidelines
Event Setup and Teardown
- Assist with assembling and dismantling tents, signage, and barriers.
- Ensure all items are handled carefully and stored properly after the event.
Artist Assistance
- Provide artists with supplies, refreshments, and logistical support during mural installations.
- Be mindful not to interfere with their creative process.
Photography/Videography
- Capture high-quality images and videos that showcase the festival's energy and community involvement.
- Obtain consent for close-ups or interviews, especially from artists or attendees.
Event Coordination
- Help manage event flow, including welcoming guests, guiding attendees, and supporting activities at opening and closing ceremonies.
- Be available to answer questions or direct people to designated areas.
Commitment
- Volunteers are encouraged to commit to a minimum of one shift and inform organizers promptly if they cannot attend.
