    Swine & Stein Brewfest - Saturday, October 11, 2025

    Held in the street of downtown Water Street, Gardiner, ME

    Expected attendance: 1,500+

    Organized by Gardiner Main Street and established in 2009, Swine & Stein Brewfest has a strong following. Held in the streets of our historic downtown,  Gardiner's most popular event of the year includes live music, local food vendors, fun games & activities and more! 

    Swine & Stein is a paid beer garden event with unlimited tastings included with admission. A drinking or designated driver ticket will be required to enter the event and food area. Food vendors will be spaced throughout the beer garden. 

    As an event that celebrates local Maine agriculture, downtown restaurants and food vendors will serve up a variety of interesting culinary dishes featuring pork, as well as other food options. 

    While we encourage offering a pork-based menu item, it is not a requirement for joining our mix of diverse food options available at the event. Space is limited! We are seeking 4-6 vendors depending on menus and offerings. 

    Don’t miss out on this super fun, urban beer festival in the setting of one of Maine’s most charming main streets!

    Please note that the infrastructure on Water Street is extremely limited. We will not be able to provide water hook-ups or electrical service. Preference will be given to vendors that can be self-contained. Due to the urban environment use of quiet generators rated at less than 70 decibels may be permitted and may restrict vendor placement options.

  • FOOD VENDOR FEE: $200

    We've reduced our vendor fees to offset the increased costs of food and supply issues. The fee goes directly to event organizer Gardiner Main Street, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, to offset expenses related to event.

    FOOD VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be fully licensed and insured in the state of Maine

    • A certificate of liability insurace listing both Gardiner Main Street and the City of Gardiner as additional insured is required in advance of the event

    • Gardiner Main Street will obtain the appropriate license from the City of Gardiner. You do not need to pay any additional municipal licensing fees

    • Please plan on being completely self-contained: no electricity or water will be available. GMS may grant permission for generators at 70 decibels or lower at their own discretion

    • Vendor is responsible for tables and equipment needed to sell the product and must keep own service area clean and tidy

    • All trailer-towing vehicles are required to drop their trailers on the street and park in a nearby designated lot due to limited space at the festival
  • Setup Information: 

    No water will be provided, and electricity is not available. Preference will be given to vendors who can be self-contained. Because this is an urban event, Generators must be at a volume of 70 decibels or lower.

  • Space is limited. Completing this form does not guarantee selection. 

    We will confirm selections no later than September 1,2023. Please note that Gardiner Main Street reserves the right to refuse any vendor for any reason.

    • After application is reviewed and approved, vendor will receive contract to sign and return.
    • Vendor fees must be paid in advance of the event and are not refundable. Invoices or notice to pay will be sent at the same time as the contract. If the fee is not received within 10 days, vendor risks losing their spot. 
    • Vendor spots are only confirmed once all required materials and fees are received.
