LATE FEES
A late fee may be assessed by your Director on the balance owed. If you are concerned about paying on time, please make a plan to make small payments towards the complete balance so that it is paid in full by July 20th.
REFUNDS
Because of the amount of time, planning and expenses involved in operating the West Conroe Classical Conversations community, monies collected for registration, supplies, and tuition are non-refundable and non-transferable effective upon payment being received, whether or not you finish the program.
TUTORS
The Director plans the number of classrooms and hires tutors as determined by the number of enrolled students.
The Director hires the tutors after they interview, and complete an application. All tutors must complete tutor orientation and attend the local practicum. It is the Directors job to prayerfully consider who will tutor and who will not. Tutors agree to the CC statement of faith, they have a Christ-centered worldview and show understanding of the CC model, method, and motto. Tutors keep the integrity of the program to the best of their ability.
CLASSROOMS
The Director plans the classroom assignments as best as possible according to age, parent to child ratio, and boy to girl ratio. The Director may be unable to meet requests such a placing students with friends or preferred tutors. These types of requests are not beneficial to building community.
TEACHERS
You (the parent) are your child's teacher and are fully responsible for your child's education. West Conroe Classical Conversations is not a private school. We are a community that offers a classical model program. The Tutors and Director are not responsible for your child's performance or behavior. Parents are responsible to teach, correct, discipline and raise their children.
PARENT MISCONDUCT
Parents are expected to be loving, caring, kind and genuine of the West Conroe Classical Conversations children and other parents. Parents that do not adhere to West Conroe Classical Conversations PROTOCOL AND POLICIES as outlined in this document will be confronted using the Matthew 18 model. Parents that refuse to change their behavior will be asked to leave West Conroe Classical Conversations with no refund.
Every family in our community is unique; we all come from diverse backgrounds and different experiences, we share the common goal of wanting to give our children the very best Christian, classical education. Parents' ongoing contribution to the Classical Conversations program and their CC community is essential to a healthy productive environment. Parents who enjoy the benefits of a strong community contribute in many ways. What West Conroe Classical Conversations expects from the parents:
1) Foundations/Essentials parents remain in class with their students.
a. The Director may request that a parent spend more time in one child's classroom.
b. The Director may request that parents sit beside or behind their children
2) All communication protocol is observed and followed as listed below.
3) Parents are expected to refrain from gossip, unkind and belittling speech and divisiveness.
4) Do not communicate details of negative or sensitive information regarding our community in writing, text, email, or social media.
5)Refrain from communicating information that is personal, controversial, religious, performance- related, political or legal in personal emails, texts, or letters. When dealing with conflict, face to face communication is best.
6) Should conflict arise, parents are expected to follow the Matthew 18 model (see below) and respectfully follow the leadership of the Director.
7) Parents and their children are expected to clean up the lunchroom and classrooms at the end use.
