• You can complete the application in one sitting. However if you need to, you can save your information and come back to complete the application at a later time. 
• You will need the following to complete the application: 1. A letter of recommendation from a school official 2. A letter of recommendation from a community source 3. Your transcript 4. Copies of any college acceptance letters 5. A recent picture 6. An interview video 7. A 500 word essay.
• For the essay you will need to answer ONE of the follwing questions. 1. What are the pros and cons of an increasing reliance on social media as the primary means of communication rather than face to face contact in today's society?  2. What do you consider the single most significant societal problem today? Why? Describe recommendations on how you would tackle this problem? 
• Here is a list of some of the things we look for in a good essay: a minimum of 500 words grammatically correct English, punctuations in the right place, an introduction, body and conclusion, staying on topic, evidence of research and a bibliography. 
• For the interview video you will need to answer the following questions. Make sure you are dressed appropriately for an interview.  You may have notes but please do not read from your notes. 1. Describe yourself. Why are you an excellent candidate for this scholarship?  2. How have you been able to balance school and extracurricular activities?  3. Share a volunteer experience that gave you joy.  4. What academic and professional goals have you set for yourself?  5.Who has influenced your life and why? 6. What additional sources of funding have you received for your education?  7. What do you know about the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Inc.?  8. Tell us about a personal achievement that made you proud of yourself?
