General Rules:
· The Knights of Columbus 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off will be held in the St. Martin de Porres Parish Center on February 21, 2026.
· Check-in and set-up for the event will start at 4:30 p.m. Upon check-in, you will be directed to your assigned station for set up. Chili should be ready for tasting at 5:15 p.m.
· Participants are required to include a list of ingredients in their chili along with the Registration Form. The ingredients will be displayed, along with the chili, on the day of the event for health & safety precautions.
· Each station will be labeled by a number and the title of your chili.
· Chili is defined as any kind of spicy, stew-like dish cooked with chili peppers, meat (optional) and/or beans (optional). Various other spices and ingredients may be added with the exception of rice or pasta.
· Beans may be used in your chili; however, you must indicate its inclusion in the name, e.g. “Chili with Beans.”
· Chili must be cooked before arriving at the event. Check-in and set-up for the event will start at 4:30 p.m. Chili should be ready for judging at 5:15 p.m. Upon check-in, you will receive a location number. Please set up your crockpot in the space dictated.
· Chili should be kept hot, preferably by electric crock pots ONLY. Because of issues with the outlets in the Social Hall, a rotating use of the outlets will be available.
· Please provide at least one large Crockpot of chili for the judging.
· The chilis will be labeled by a number and title of chili.
· The Chili Cook Off Committee will provide the following condiments for the chili: Saltine Crackers, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream, and Chopped Onions. If your chili is better complimented by another condiment, please contact the Chili Cook Off Chairman.
· The Chili Cook Off Committee will provide all additional necessary supplies: Drinks, spoons, bowls, etc. You just need to supply the chili in a Crockpot. And a recipe. DON’T FORGET THE RECIPE!
RULES
· Participants are requested to include the recipe for their chili along with this registration form. The ingredients will be displayed along with the chili on the day of the event.
“Best Chili” will be judged on the following criteria: Guests of Chili Cook-Off each will receive 3 ‘Voting’ tickets. All guests taste the chilis, they will be instructed to vote for their favorite. They have an option to use all 3 tickets for one chili or vote for three separate chili’s. There will be no other additional judging going on. At the end of the event, the tickets for each chili will be counted and awards given to the top 3 Chili’s. In the event of a tie, the Chairman will select 3 people at random to decide and vote on the winner.
