ABOUT THE EVENT

The Scholarfish Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025. This is a charity tournament with all net proceeds going to Sail/Swim scholarships to be awarded to applicants by The Hyannis Yacht Club Foundation. The cost of the tournament is $300. This fee includes one Captain and up to three anglers. An additional fee of $75.00 will apply for each additional angler. Captains may pay by cash, check or with credit card. Entry includes a tournament Flag for the boat, four SPF long sleeve shirts, waterproof backpack and four lunch tickets. There will be a cash bar available for participants 21 years and older.

Note: A 3% service fee will be added if you are paying with a credit card or online.

Additional lunch tickets will be able to purchase for $25 per person.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION AND RULES

• A registered representative from each boat must be present at the Captain’s meeting to be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 6:00 pm.
• It will be the Captain’s decision to participate in case of inclement weather.  
• Lines in at 6:00 am.
• Competitors must be in the HYC fairway by 1:30 pm for weigh-in. The weigh-in will be held on the north side of the mid-T.
• All fish must be brought to the weigh station by boat.
• Each boat is allowed to enter 1 Striped Bass and 1 Bluefish.
• Prizes will be awarded for the largest Striped Bass and the largest Bluefish.
• There will be a separate Sailboat division with prizes awarded to the largest Striped Bass/Bluefish.
• Striped Bass must be within the legal slot limit. Any fish not within the slot limit will be disqualified.
• All fishing must be done within legal fishing limits.
• Umbrella rigs are not allowed.
• All participating boats will monitor VHF Channel 68.
• In the case of a tie, the fish weighed in earliest will be deemed the winner.

WAIVER/RELEASE FORM

I acknowledge and accept the terms herein on behalf of myself and the crew fully knowing the potential issues and in consideration of you accepting our entry to the event. Therefore, on behalf of my crew, myself, or anyone else acting on my or my boats behalf, I hereby waive and release and indemnify The Hyannis Yacht Club Foundation and the Hyannis Yacht Club, their respective officers, Trustees, all sponsors, members, volunteers and officials of the event from any and all claims and/or liabilities which could occur at or during this event.

Furthermore, I attest that the crew is in proper physical and psychological condition to participate in this event, and I hereby grant full permission to use my name and crew’s name and any photographs, videos or other records of this event for any marketing project and/or legal purpose. By executing this document, I accept and understand the terms of this waiver/release.
