You must be a licensed massage therapist to compete. Students must be enrolled in a massage program. 

Ohio Massage License holders can compete for the overall grand prize: 

• Entry to the American Massage Championships to represent our state ($250 value) and entry to the World Massage Festival 2026 ($500 value) held in Cherokee, NC. 

Out of state licensed massage therapists can compete for category winnings:

• 1st, 2nd, 3rd place medals and any such prizes attached, only your scores will be entered into a national database to allow for rankings across the United States.

I hereby grant the Ohio Massage Championship, American Massage championships, International Massage Association, its affiliates and other state massage championships ("OMC") permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video or other digital media ("photo") in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. These photos will be used for the express purposes of promoting championships throughout the United States.

I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of the OMC and will not be returned.

I hereby irrevocably authorize the OMC to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the OMC and its associates from all claims, demands and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

Furthermore, the OMC gives you permission to download or share any photos posted. You may use them as you wish for personal or business advertising, We actually encourage sharing of OMC posted photos!

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE PHOTO RELEASE. I AFFIRM THAT I AM AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, OR, IF I AM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED CONSENT OF MY PARENTS/GUARDIANS AS EVIDENCED BY THEIR SIGNATURES BELOW. I ACCEPT:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE OR SIT FOR CE CLASSES IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE (“COI”) TURNED IN TO OMC.

Please contact your insurance carrier (AMTA, ABMP, MMIP or the like) and have them add “Ohio Massage Championship" as an “additional insured” on your current “certificate of insurance”. Download the certificate and upload below.

If you need new insurance, we recommend that you purchase the lease expensive option with the most benefits that is Massage Magazine Insurance Plus. 

IF YOU ARE A STUDENT with AMTA student insurance and have not graduated, your or your school will need to contact AMTA to get the additional insured rider put on your COI or have a letter from your school saying that OMC 2026 is a sanctioned school event for you in order to use your student insurance without a rider. If you have recently graduated massage school, you must acquire NEW massage insurance. You will not be allowed to use your student insurance.
