Seasonal Vendor Membership Application: Deadline to apply: February 28, 2025. Later applications will be placed on a waiting list

To apply for membership please read carefully and complete all questions. Our Board will be reviewing all applications and will make notifications about the status of your application by the end of March.
This application is for those Grower or Producer vendors who want to attend market on a weekly basis throughout the season (May-October) and to become members of the Cobourg Farmers Market Association.
- Preference is given to growers or producers residing in Northumberland County. (Applicants from outside Northumberland County may be accepted or declined at the discretion of the Board).
- All vendors are required to submit an application yearly for approval of the Board of Directors.
- Vendors must produce 100% of what they sell (exclusive of packaging). Specialty products and exceptions may be approved or declined at the discretion of the Board.
- Vendors of prepared foods, meats, cheeses, fish, etc. must meet all health requirements and pass all inspections of the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (HKPR) District Health Unit prior to attending the market.
- Artisan products must be hand-made by the vendor using their skills, artistry and training to produce a new, unique and original product of excellent quality.
- If, once approved, a vendor wishes to introduce a new product that is outside the category scope of their original product, they must receive prior approval from the Board.
- The market opens at 8 am and closes at 1pm. Set-up is from 6:45 - 7:45 am and tear down is from 1:00 - 2:00 pm each Saturday, May through October. You must be present for the entire market, even if you have sold all of your product.
- Vendors are responsible for providing their own market canopy, tables, chairs and all other equipment. The market is held outside, rain or shine.
- Fees: To be a voting member, an accepted vendor must pay the Summer Seasonal Market Fee and the membership fee in full prior to opening day. The fees are made up of a membership fee plus a stall fee. The fees for 2025 are still to be determined. (For reference only 2024 fees were $350 ($315 stall + $35 membership)
- Deadline to apply: February 28, 2025. Any applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list and reviewed by our board monthly.

If you are selling prepared food you must adhere to all Health Unit requirements and may be required to prepare from an inspected, Certified Kitchen. Do you plan to cook your food or keep it hot while at the market? If so, you will need a special permit from the Town of Cobourg and get Fire Dept. approval. What equipment will you use to do that? Please note that access to electricity is VERY limited.
