ANBF Terms and Conditions/ Granite State Open
Event/Drug Screening/Photography/Video Waivers and Release

In consideration of accepting my application and intention to compete in the 2025  Granite State Open sanctioned with the ANBF, I waive and release any and all rights, claims, damages, demands or causes of action I have or, in the futures, may have against the ANBF, Laura Tourtellot, LJ Turtle Promotions, any Corporate or Individual Sponsor, Polygraph Examiner, Holiday Inn Portsmouth, Kittery Community Center and The Star Theatre,  all volunteers and staff,  and each of their representatives, employees, successors and assignees relating to,  its shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents and or attorneys with regard to any and all claims foreseen and/or unforeseen arising from this agreement and any and all conducts/acts  arising out of or in connection with  The 2025 31st ANNUAL GRANITE STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS/ANBF Coed Bodybuilding, Coed Physique, Figure, Bikini, Classic Physique, Femfit, Wellness, Couples.  This is including, but not limited to, any rights, claims, damages, debts,  demands and causes of action relating to competing in this event, polygraph screening/ testing, urinalysis, or the publication or other dissemination of the results of such testing, physical injury and/or emotional injury whatsoever from now and forever. The parties further agree and acknowledge that indemnification includes any and all costs, expenses, damages, punitive awards and/or attorney fees.  The ANBF is governed by the laws of North Carolina and disputes will be resolved in the Jurisdiction of Forsythe County, NC

I understand this competition is open only to contestants who have not used anabolic steroids, growth hormones, diuretics, or any other performance-enhancing prescription drugs for seven (7) years. I will undergo a polygraph screening to verify my compliance with ANBF’s drug-free policies. If I do not take the polygraph or if the results indicate a failure, I will not be permitted to compete.

In consideration of your accepting my application, I further agree to as follows:

• I will submit to a mandatory polygraph and provisional urine test to determine whether or not I have taken anabolic steroids, growth hormones, diuretics or any other prescription drugs used to enhance physical performance within the restricted time limitation, or any other banned substances, in accordance with ANBF  2025 banned substance list.

• The results of the polygraph examination and/or urinalysis given to me, which are determined and interpreted by the polygraph examiner and urinalysis laboratory are binding and conclusive. 
  
  
• The polygraph examiner is authorized to disclose the results of the polygraph screening, his or her opinion of the polygraph results, and/or any statements made by me to the Promoter, and ANBF Officials.
  
  
• I acknowledge the risk of exposure to communicable diseases such as Covid-19 and its variants at the event and release all parties from any claims related to such exposure.
  
  
• It is also acknowledged that I hereby expressly grant the right of the Granite State Open, LJ Turtle Promotions or its designated media agents to photograph me and use my pictures, silhouette and other reproductions of my physical likeness, as the same may appear in any video, website, social media outlet, and in connection with the GSO, and also in the advertising, exploiting and/or publicizing of any such photograph/video.
  
  
• Property indemnity: You accept full responsibility for any damages to the rental properties from tanning or makeup use, and will be solely responsible to cover the costs of any repairs required.

By participating in the 2025 ANBF Granite State Open, I accept these conditions and the associated risks of attending and competing in the event.

Drug Policy and Testing

Athletes must not have used any anabolic steroids, diuretics, prescription drugs, or other banned substances for athletic purposes for a minimum of seven (7) years prior to the date of this event. Failure to sign any liability, drug-testing, or any other release form or waiver associated with this event, or testing positive in drug tests, will result in the forfeiture of the right to participate, receive prize money, and loss of ANBF eligibility. All athletes will be polygraph tested, and prize money winners will be urine tested immediately after they come off stage.  All athletes are subject to a random test at the GSO.

ANBF RELEASE STATEMENT

I acknowledge that participating in this athletic event, sanctioned by the American Natural Bodybuilding Federation (ANBF), is an extreme test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of athletes, and lack of hydration. I hereby assume all the risks of participating in this ANBF event. I understand that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.

In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this ANBF event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) Waive, Release, and Discharge from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me, including traveling to and from this event, the ANBF, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents, the event holders, sponsors, and volunteers; (B) Indemnify and hold harmless the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this event, whether caused by the negligence of the releases or otherwise.

                                                     No Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is not allowed on the venue - this is a zero-tolerance policy: competitors caught with alcohol containers will be removed and disqualified from competing. Competitors may also be banned from future events as well.

                                                         Tanning Policy

"Dream Tan" and other messy rub-on, non drying tanning products are prohibited - this is a zero-tolerance policy: competitors found to have these tanning products on their skin will be removed and disqualified from competing.
