An adoption application submitted to and approved by the Secretariat Center remains valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of approval, and may be renewed one time thereafter. The purpose of this renewal application is to renew a previously approved adoption application for which this three-year period has expired within six months of the submission date of this application. The undersigned acknowledges that this is only an application and does not convey any right to renewal of the applicant’s prior adoption application nor to adoption of any Secretariat Center equine. The undersigned further acknowledges that the Secretariat Center has sole discretion in confirming or denying any renewal application and that even if a renewal is granted, that renewal does not convey a right to adopt a particular animal. The Secretariat Center has the right to approve or deny, for any reason, an applicant’s request to renew an adoption application or an applicant’s request to adopt any equine. *** PLEASE NOTE: If the undersigned applicant was a minor at the time the original adoption application was submitted to the Secretariat Center, but has since reached the age of majority, then the undersigned may not request renewal of the previous application and must submit a new adoption application. ***

Do you agree to participate in the Secretariat Center's Track for Life program, to submit by the specified due date a Track for Life form that will be provided by the Secretariat Center, and to submit good quality full body photos of your adopted horse without blankets or tack? Do you further agree to notify the Secretariat Center of the sale of the horse and to acquire a Track for Life Agreement from the new owner to enable the horse to be tracked for life by the Secretariat Center?

By signing this form, the undersigned applicant grants the Secretariat Center, its agents and employees, the right to conduct internet searches, physical facility visits, check with named references or use other information to determine whether to renew the applicant’s prior adoption application. Once renewed, the applicant may request consideration for adoption of any Secretariat Center equine. As previously stated, approval does not convey any right to adopt a particular horse.
